Summary
QIP does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has no accounts, advertising, tracking, analytics, or developer-operated online service. Icon generation happens locally on your Mac.
Source images
QIP reads an image only after you drag it into the app or select it through the standard macOS file picker. The image is processed locally to create the requested icon files.
QIP does not upload the source image, its filename, its location, its contents, or any generated files. It does not modify the selected source image.
Generated packages and export names
QIP writes a generated package only inside the folder you explicitly select through the standard macOS folder picker. It creates a new package folder for each export and does not replace an existing QIP package.
You can keep the default QIP filenames or enter a custom export name. The name is applied locally to the package and its generated files and is not sent to the developer.
macOS permissions
QIP uses App Sandbox. It receives access only to source images and export folders that you explicitly select. QIP reads the selected source image and writes only the requested icon package inside the selected destination.
QIP does not request permanent access to Downloads, Full Disk Access, or broad file-system access.
Network access and external links
QIP does not make network requests. If you select its Privacy Policy or Support link, macOS opens the address in your default web browser. Your browser and the destination website handle that visit under their own settings and policies.
When you visit the QIP page or download QIP from this website, the website uses a signed anonymous visitor identifier to limit qualified counting within each hourly window. The optional public rating and comment section stores only the information you deliberately submit. These systems do not collect your email address and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Because QIP does not collect data on developer-operated servers, there is no server-side user data to retain or delete. Source images and generated files remain under your control on your Mac until you remove them.
Children’s privacy
QIP does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.
Changes to this policy
If QIP’s data practices change, this policy and the app’s applicable Store privacy information will be updated before the changed version is distributed.
